In December 2015, 19 Peaks Scenic Area was rated as a national 4A scenic area. It is made up of 84 natural scenic spots and 13 places of historical interest. Having been famous since the Song Dynasty, 19 Peaks Scenic Area offers rolling mountains, tablelands, winding rivers and creeks, red brags and steep cliffs, peculiar peaks, waterfalls and springs, deep ponds, and quiet valleys and caves. It is a wonderful place combining the beauty of the Lijiang River, Guilin, and the Yandang Mountain, thus being billed as “Zhangjiajie in East of Zhejiang Province”. Since the opening of Flying Dragon Walkway, the Scenic Area has attracted numbers of tourists, and existed as an ideal place for health maintenance, holiday, leisure, sightseeing, mountain climbing, adventure, scientific investigation, as well as a place to experience glass skywalk and challenge yourself.

Plank Road of Flying Dragon is built on Danxia landform. Compared with other areas, this area has the following features: First, mountains of Danxia landform are very steep, and almost vertical. The whole Walkway clings to the cliff, with a height of 150 meters. Second, the Flying Dragon Walkway has a total length of 3,200 meters, with all sections built on cliff and having no other bearing points, which is never seen elsewhere in China. Third, the Flying Dragon Walkway consists of several parts, namely Ancient Wooden Walkway, Concrete Walkway, Glass skywalk, and Flying Dragon Cable Bridge. Fourth, with a total length of 128 meters, the Glass skywalk is the longest of its kind in regions south of the Yangtze River. In the middle section of it, there is a glass scenic lookout of 4.5 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. There is also the 138-meter-long Flying Dragon Walkway suspended between two mountains, which is very amazing.

Chongyang Palace is Zhejiang Province’s biggest palace of Taoism. Since six dynasties, the great Taoists, including Ge Hong, Gu Huan, Wei Boyang, Wang Xizhi, and Xie Lingyun visited this place. At the beginning of Tang Dynasty, Wu Jun, the 12th successor of Shangqing Sect and also the famous Taoism scholar, once built the Chongyang Cottage in Valley of Phyllostachys Bambusoides. During the glorious era of Tang Dynasty, Sima Chengzhen, Wu Jun and Li Bai became the hermits here in autumn so that it has always been deemed as a place of Taoism in the east Zhejiang.
