Chongyang Palace is Zhejiang Province’s biggest palace of Taoism. Since six dynasties, the great Taoists, including Ge Hong, Gu Huan, Wei Boyang, Wang Xizhi, and Xie Lingyun visited this place. At the beginning of Tang Dynasty, Wu Jun, the 12th successor of Shangqing Sect and also the famous Taoism scholar, once built the Chongyang Cottage in Valley of Phyllostachys Bambusoides. During the glorious era of Tang Dynasty, Sima Chengzhen, Wu Jun and Li Bai became the hermits here in autumn so that it has always been deemed as a place of Taoism in the east Zhejiang.
